As we enter the coldest week of the year, our very own resident blogger, Alice Waterman, has shared her top tips to make the most of the colder months. Have a read below!
Winter might not seem like the most enjoyable season, but there are many ways to make it feel special. Here are my top 8 tips to help you embrace the colder months!
1. Watch your favourite TV shows
Cosy up with your favourite series and let the stories warm your heart. There's nothing quite like binge-watching a good show when it's cold outside.
2. Enjoy hot chocolate with loved ones
Make a delicious hot chocolate and share it with friends or family for a cosy gathering. It’s the perfect way to bring warmth to a winter's day.
3. Relax in a warm bath
Taking a bath can help you feel healthy and rejuvenated. You can add some essential oils, or even have a go at making a homemade bath bomb! It can be a fun and relaxing activity while adding some luxury to your bath time.
4. Host meals with friends and family
Invite loved ones over for lunch or dinner to share the warmth and good company. There’s nothing like a good hot meal and great conversation to brighten up a winter evening. And hey, preparing your favourite dishes can be a comforting and rewarding experience!
5. Cosy up in warm pyjamas
Stay cosy by rugging up in warm pyjamas to keep the cold away. Be sure to choose the softest, comfortable fabrics that make you feel snug and happy.
6. Buy fresh flowers
Winter can be dark and dull, so why not brighten your home with fresh flowers to create a comfortable and refreshed atmosphere? It’s a simple way to bring a bit of spring into your winter!
7. Use extra bedding
The nights have been super cold lately, and if you’re anything like me, you need to be nice and cosy to get to sleep. Adding extra sheets or blankets can keep you warm and comfortable. Layer up to stay toasty all night long.
8. Engage in hobbies
Spend time doing activities you love, like building Lego sets, crafting, or cooking, to keep boredom at bay during the winter months. Hobbies can be a great way to pass the time and stay engaged.
There are countless ways to make winter enjoyable and to keep your spirits high. Embrace the season and find what brings you joy!
