The Carers Lounge: Your VIP Pass to Fringe Fun!

Adelaide Fringe Accessible SACARE Carers Lounge

Get ready to make your Fringe experience a showstopper because the SACARE Carers Lounge is bringing its accessible facilities to the Adelaide Fringe!

The Carer’s Lounge is your backstage pass to comfort and dignity in the heart of the Fringe frenzy. It's not just a space; it's peace of mind for everyone who wants to dive into the artistic whirlwind of the Adelaide Fringe, regardless of their abilities!

Where Every Art Enthusiast Finds a Stage

The SACARE innovation was created to make the Fringe accessible to everyone. For the first time, all art enthusiasts living with disability and a love of live performances can enjoy these events in comfort, dignity and privacy.

We have two dedicated spaces designed for the sensory, medical and bathroom needs of attendees living with disabilities. Escape noise and excitement in our sensory pod, fully equipped with interactive screens, bubble tubes, fibre optic lights, and a 'magic carpet' - a calm retreat for children and adults.

Our changing pod is a dignified and hygienic environment equipped with a height-adjustable change table and hoist, ensuring a respectful approach to personal care, including a lounge area for feed and medicine preparation.

Breaking Barriers with Flair

Just like every play needs its cast, every Fringe-goer has their unique needs. Whether it's medication, sensory support, or extra TLC, the Carers Lounge is here for you. It's a space where all art lovers, regardless of their needs, can enjoy the cultural symphony of the Fringe without missing a beat.

Lights, Camera, Inclusivity!

SACARE has been shining the spotlight on change making in the disability community for 28 years, and this collaboration with Adelaide Fringe is another show stopper. The Carers Lounge isn't just about convenience; it's a symbol of empowerment and inclusion. It's where everyone's voice is heard, and every need is met.
