Emily Woolford

Emily Woolford is a qualified and registered Diversional Therapist and the Manager of THRIVE Services. She is involved in developing and implementing the THRIVE social engagement programs in relation to the client’s meaningful goals and their strengths and values. 

 Emily completed her initial university placement with SACARE and then was successful in gaining employment as a THRIVE Therapeutic Support Assistant in 2017. While working full time with SACARE, she studied and graduated from a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Leisure and Health). Emily is now a qualified and registered Diversional Therapist. Many are often confused by this title, but essentially this role plays an important part is supporting, challenging, and enhancing the social, emotional, psychological, and physical wellbeing of individuals through the use of recreational activities.

Being a part of this innovative program is so fulfilling. She feels very fortunate to be involved in a program where she can turn our participants’ dreams into reality. The team is so proud of what our participants achieve and knowing that this program can make a difference is truly special.  

Emily grew up on a farm in Kimba, a small country town on the Eyre Peninsula. She enjoys shopping and spending time with her dog, Poppy.
