It’s time for change, time for a new website!

We’re excited to announce our new and improved website. What and why is so exciting? Read about it all below.

Why the new website?
Spring is here and this always calls for a bit of spring cleaning, a new beginning, and because, sometimes change is what we need. The design of our previous website hadn’t been changed for years, and as we grow, so does our style and understanding for the importance of having an updated, insightful and engaging website.

Why the 14th September?
Today is “R U OK? Day”, one of Australia’s most successful social movements. It encourages people to check in with others, by asking the simple question “are you ok?” to support anyone struggling with life.

We are so proud to share the story about one of SACARE’s senior Support Workers, Ali Jafari, who was struggling with depression whilst living in Iran many years ago. Ali’s since left that life behind and shares his incredible journey from Iran to SACARE. Watch the first video of a series of powerful stories here.

What’s changed?

  • There is a completely different look and feel. We wanted to say goodbye to our block bright colours and go for a sleeker approach focusing more on the photographs and to prepare you for our new logo launch at the end of this year.
  • Huge new addition: We have announced a new property that’s currently in development called “The Gums” in Salisbury. Read more about this exciting new property here.
  • We’re making an effort to keep our blog and news section updated and engaging, view all our latest stories here.
  • … and so much more.

What’s next?

  1. Spread the word:
We want your help to spread the news of our new SACARE website by sharing this Facebook post (or literally talking about us).

  2. Share Ali's video to raise awareness for mental health
Most importantly, you can start by sharing Ali’s story on your Facebook page, or email your friends, to not only inspire your network but to encourage everyone to ask “R U OK?” today. The power of storytelling connects us all together and makes us feel, that in fact, we aren’t alone after all.

  3. Share feedback:
We’d love to hear any feedback you have, including any errors, broken links, the bad, the great… we’d like to know! Email with your thoughts. Because, “Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous in the end.” – Robin Sharma

Thank you to all of our clients, support workers, staff, partners, friends and family for your continued support. Here’s to an incredible rest of 2017, and remember, don’t be afraid of change, it is leading you to a new beginning.

Your SACARE family.
