Case Manager Now Available for All SACARE Clients in the Community

With the constant changes within the disability sector and sacare's commitment to being even more responsive to your needs than ever before, we are thrilled to announce the addition of a Case Manager to our Service Delivery Team.  


Our Case Manager will be available to provide support to our community clients in many ways, with the main function of the role being:

  • To assist in communication between you and other people involved in your care
  • Advocating on your behalf
  • Assessing and reviewing your needs
  • Identifying solutions that may provide you greater independence and help you reach your goals

The team at sacare are always looking at different ways to engage with our clients and we believe the introduction of a case manager is a great way to be keep in touch with you on a more regular basis and to make sure we are delivering a service that makes a positive difference in your life.


Let’s introduce Max Dowden, sacare's new Case Manager…

  1. What is your role at sacare and what does an average day look like?

I am the new Disability Case Manager at sacare, this is a new position created for our clients that live in the community. My role is to ensure that all of our community clients are supported and receiving the best care that we can offer. Currently I am spending my time visiting our community clients, getting to know them and ensuring that their care plans are up to date and accurate and that all their needs are being met. Expect a visit from me soon but in the meantime feel free to give me a call 😊


  1. What is your background and experience?

I have a background in Social Work and have worked in the disability sector for many years, I have experience supporting clients to navigate the NDIS as well as experience in mental health and employment services. Most recently I have worked in child protection and youth services.


  1. What are you most looking forward to about working at sacare?

I’m am looking forward to getting to know all of our amazing clients! And of course the pet friendly office is also a big selling point!
