COVID-19 Supported Accommodation

In light of the new SA community COVID-19 transmissions, SACARE is taking this opportunity to be proactive and preventative in responding to these changes.

Further to the recently announced and implemented lockdown restrictions imposed by SA Health and Government, please see below some additional updates.   sacare and our dedicated team will work together to ensure that we keep our clients and the wider
community safe and healthy.


Changes to our supported accommodation service delivery effective from 12.01 am Wednesday 19 November include: 

  • Face masks are now required for all support workers to wear during their shifts.
  • No visitors will be allowed entry to any supported accommodation over the next six days.

  • In-house daily leisure activities will continue and be increased  including cooking, arts, crafts and boardgames.

  • We will provide the technology that will be required to ensure all external communication and telehealth appointments can be maintained.

  • THRIVE Services team will continue to service in-house allied-health participants, with community participants limited to in-home activities only.
